Come Discover with the Doodlebugs

“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.” – Angela Schwindt

In the Doodlebug Room we have 12 children and 4 staff members.  Children will learn and interact with each other, while having a fun and structured day!  While structure and routine are important to the children’s emotional development we also believe flexibility must play a role.  The beauty of a structured environment (when it is designed well) is that it gives our children stability and flexibility at the same time. We have a different theme each week, which includes, art, sensory and age appropriate activities.  We believe in making the Doodlebug Room a learning environment with all the love and nurturing the children need.

Parent/Teacher Communication

Here at Child’s Play Place, Inc. we strongly believe that communication and a good relationship between staff and families is key.  We want to work with you as closely as we can to ensure that your child receives the best care possible, while here at Child's Play Place!  Ms. Lindsey is available anytime by phone, email, or text.  The Doodlebug room uses daily communication sheets for you to take home at the end of the day.  One of our staff members will always be available to answer any questions you may have.

Nap Time

Our nap time begins at12:00 and ends at 2:30. Children that wake up early from nap are given a quiet book on their bed until our nap time is over with. We suggest that every child brings a small sleeping bag/blanket and or pillow to cuddle with. Cots are provided. You will be responsible for taking nap items home at the end of the week to wash it and bringing them back at the beginning of the next week.

Winter Gear

Each child will need snow pants, boots, hat and gloves. We go out every day in the winter as long as the weather permits. So please LABEL EVERYTHING WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME!!

Summer Time

Children are required to bring in their own sunscreen, bug spray (if needed) and water bottle.  You can leave the water bottle here each night, as we clean them and put fresh water in them daily.  We LOVE summer and go outside twice a day as long as it’s not TOO hot.

Welcome to the Doodlebug Room where your family will quickly become part of ours!
